One of my earliest projects, this firewise demonstration garden was a collaboration with Boise Parks and Recreation and the Idaho Botanical Garden while I was completing my master’s in landscape architecture. Designed to educate the community on fire-resistant landscaping, the garden showcases plants that help reduce fire severity for homes in the wildland-urban interface—an increasingly critical issue in Boise.
Located in Bernadine Quinn Park, the space also features an Idaho native pollinator garden, supporting local wildlife and promoting biodiversity. This project reflects my passion for sustainable, educational landscapes that serve both people and the environment.
