Thanks to a Blue Cross of Idaho grant, the town of Wendell, Idaho, was able to transform 7 acres into a vibrant community park. Working closely with Mayor Rebecca Vipperman and the local community, the design focused on utilizing natural elements to create a cost-effective yet engaging space. Thoughtfully selected features not only enhanced the park’s beauty but also reflected the community’s heritage and connection to the land..
The design embraces natural elements, featuring fallen logs, a hillside slide, climbable boulders, meandering nature paths, a rock-climbing wall, and unique rock animals. Thoughtful native plantings further enhance the park’s connection to the landscape, making it a welcoming place for recreation, exploration, and gathering.
